Firstly, in this class Juan Antonio has gone on talking about the phonetic of vowels and semivowels. We have complete two sheet to know how vowels and semivowels sound, while our professor explained and showed us flash-cards with every vowel. In addition, Juan Antonio introduced us the "limerick", which are kind of short and non-sense poems. Then, he cheered us up to do it, and this is what my classmates and I created:
There was a flower full of bees
They may be like beautiful peas
It was near the mountain
There was a near plain
There is nothing similar to this.
There is a dog in a rainbow
That wants to touch the rainbow
What a bad idea!
It doesn´t matter here
The rainbow is not in the window.
In my opinion, this class has been productive and varied. I really liked how Juan Antonio was able to carry on the class using flash-cards and cheering us up to try to say the sounds. Also, it was very interesting the way he helped us to know how to teach different sounds to children. Consequently, this class has been very useful to correct some personal mistakes.
Summarizing, it´s been a different class in which I´ve learnt how to do a limerick, and a lot of phonetic. I´ll start using this knowledge from now on to improve the quality of my English. Besides, I´ve discover a great web called www.DLTK.kids.com.
