September 28th, 2015

First of all, Maribel has taken us out the class to see a bin, in which there were some plastics and rubbish. She said she did it to show us a new strategy we can use to teach children good habits. Then, we have done a summary about what we have done the last day. Besides, we have started the point 1.3, which was about the ROYAL DECREE 126/2014. Maribel advised us to know about it despite of the continuous changes of law, because the next one may be quite similar. Then, our teacher has shown us the law in Spanish, and we have learnt about “estrategias de comprensión, funciones comunicativas, estrategias de producción, ejecución,...”. But we realized the last part was the most usual to determine, as teachers, the contents we are going to use in a programation. So, in a programation we are going to take into account objectives, contents, teaching methodology,...       After that, Maribel talked about the article 8 "Didactic programming", and she alluded the parts in which we have to work harder: E (strategies and tools for assessing student learning) and F (qualification criteria). Other important articles are: article 9 (Evaluation of teaching and learning process, which must be continuous and global), and article 14 (Foreign language learning).

From my point of view, the contents are a bit hard to learn, but I love how Maribel try to teach and advice us about the importance of teachers saying: “We are the teachers, no parents”, “You can use, for example, math´s problems to increase the interaction between children while they are solving problems together”, “Parents were enchanted about the idea of speaking exclusively English in my classes”. Moreover, our teacher always talks us about curious and interesting things as “The day of the languages in Europe on September, 26.”.

Finally, in this class I have learned new words and strategies. I would like to remind the plural of "law" is "rules", and other words like: entrepreneurship, suitable conditions, key competences, "advice" as noun and "advise" as verb, or the difference between "evaluation/assessment" and "appraise".
